Visiting the Kelly's

It was great to see the Kelly's on the way to and from Disney Land. We always have so much fun when we visit. This time was the first time we got to swim in their great pool. It was awesome. Brian has a great time decorating their garbage can. It is always fun to see what he comes up with. I'm not sure what it was this time but it looks cool.

Kayla and Emily joined the swim team this summer. They have really enjoyed it. They got to swim their first swim meet on August 22. Kayla swam the 100 yard back stroke, 50 yard free style, 100 yard free style, and the 100 yard breast stroke. Emily swam the 200 yard free style relay, 50 yard back stroke, 50 yard free style, 100 yard breast stroke, and the 50 yard IM. They each got three ribbons. It was a good exprience for them.

I know it has been a while but I am finally getting around to blogging again. We had so much fun at Aaron and Stacy's house, camping at Mount Rainier, and hanging out together.

Girls Camp 2009

Girls camp was awesome. This was my first year to go to girls camp with Kayla. I am the Behive advisor now so I had the opportunity to go to girls camp this year. We got to go to the Heber Valley Camp. It was great. The stake did all of the meals except one breakfast and one dinner. They had amazing callenge courses. We had to work together to get through the courses. We were up there five days and I can't believe it was over so fast.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

It was awesome to go to the open house. Brian had to work so he wasn't able to come with us. The temple was so beautiful but smaller than most of the other temples I have been to. It was fun to have some of the cousins go with us. I hope they will always remeber what it was like to be in the temple and want to go there when they get older.

The 4th of July

This year I was the only one in my family that ran in the 5k fun run. Megan and Travis volunteered to help pass out water to the runners as they ran by. There were so many runners that they ran out of water before the race was over. They had a good time. After the race we went home and got cleaned up and ate breakfast and then headed down to the parade. The weather was perfect for the parade. There was a slight breeze and it was overcast. After the parade we walked around and looked at the different booths that were set up on the north end of the park. We met up with Matt and Samantha and played some ultimate frizbee at the park. Then we came home and the kids did the slip and slide for a while before we went over to Renee and Wayne's for a BBQ. The food was great and we played some games and then we got ready to go see the fireworks at Layton High. The fire works were great. By the time we got home we were all so tired and went straight to bed. What a day.

Celebrating Brian's birthday at the cabin

. . . . . . . . As soon as we got home from Lagoon we went up to my parents cabin to celebrate Brian's 42nd birthday. We love to go there. We had a great time relaxing, playing games, putting puzzles together, watching movies and riding the four wheelers. It rained a little so it made ridding the four wheelers very muddy, but that didn't stop us. It was great to spend some time together as a family.

Fun at Lagoon

We went to Lagoon with my sister Leann and friend Julia June 18th. The kids had a blast.
